I Fell In Love

What is the best music concert you’ve ever been to?

You most likely have one that stands out in your head.

I’ve been to some pretty good ones.

My first concert was Tom Petty. Being a huge fan, it was thrilling to see him live.

Although that wasn’t my favorite concert.

Part of the problem was I was too far away from the stage. The music was great, but I just didn’t fully get into the experience.

I’ve been to a number of concerts like that, where I just wasn’t into it. Either the music wasn’t great, or there were too many people, too many A-holes, it was too hot, too loud.

Ok, now I’m starting to sound like a whiny seven-year-old.

I love music, but for whatever the reason, I often find I don’t love big music concerts.

But, there is always the exception.

A number of years ago, I got invited to go to a Brandi Carlile concert at the Knitting Factory in Boise. I had heard a few of her songs on the radio and really liked them, so I agreed to go, but I was more excited about going out with friends than I was about the concert.

But something happened that night. Something that I had not ever experienced at a concert before.

I fell in love.

I fell in love with Brandi and the raw emotion she put into every song, every line. She just got under my skin, and I couldn’t get enough of it. This was the exception to my other concert experiences.

The Knitting Factory is a decent sized venue for a concert, but not too big, so you can see and feel the emotion pouring off the stage no matter where you are in the building.

It was an amazing experience and definitely ranks as my favorite music concert.

That stage at the Knitting Factory just so happens to be the spot for our next ImpactClub® event in Boise on September 12th.

It seems like a fitting location to me, because at every Impact Club event, I feel that same raw emotion I felt at that Brandi Carlile concert.

If you’ve already been to an Impact Club event in Boise, then you already know what I’m talking about. At these events, we invite 3 local non-profits and give them each 5 minutes and a microphone (that’s it) to share their amazing stories.

There is an energy in the room as everyone there knows that someone that night is going to go home with over $20,000 for their organization.

It’s suspenseful, powerful, entertaining, heartwarming, and impactful.

I bring my kids to each event because I want them to see how a community can come together and do amazing things.

The $20,000+ comes from having over 200 ImpactClub® Boise members. Each member agrees to donate $100 to each event (there are 4 events per year). So the math is simple, 200 x $100 = $20,000, donated in 1 hour, 4 times a year.

And 100% of the members’ donations goes straight to the charity. There is no overhead or admin fees. The $100 is of course tax deductible, but the reason you become a member is to experience the feeling of making a huge impact in your community, to witness the raw emotion from these individuals doing amazing work.

To me, every Impact Club event is like going to an amazing concert. There are friends, fun, music, and emotion that truly moves you. It just speaks to my soul.

I invite you to join me for the next one. I’m serious. Anyone can come check it out. You don’t have to be a member to come to one of our events. Come see for yourself.

Of course, you can become a member anytime. If you’re ready, just go here.

Otherwise just come to our September 12th event. Tell them at the registration table that I invited you and they’ll give you two free drink tickets. That is my way of thanking you for taking the time to come check it out.

See more details and links below.

Come have an amazing experience with me.

It’s just 3 weeks away.

Reach out if you have any questions.

I hope to see you there.

Cheers,

Mike and Girls with Impact ClubMike Turner
