Strength in Numbers

I’m surprised and grateful.
When attending an annual REALTOR® event, I almost choked on my food when they called out my name for the Good Neighbor Humanitarian Award.
It was incredible and humbling to receive the award in front of 1,000 industry colleagues.
But what had the most impact on me, once all the hype of the evening died down, was the realization that my team of amazing people must have plotted, planned, and submitted my name for this award. They kept the whole thing a surprise for me.
For me, the recognition from my team far outweighs the public accolades.
It’s the people closest to you that see the true struggle. They see the setbacks and progress as they are in the trenches with you, fighting beside you to make a difference.
I’m humbled to receive this award because I know it would not be possible to do all the things we are accomplishing without the support of my team.
In less than a year we’ve been able launch 4 successful Impact Club events, raising over $60,000 for our community, and with our Superhero Saturday series we launched a new division of our media company to recognize amazing people who have dedicated their lives to supporting our community.
The best part about this last year is realizing how much we can impact our community when we come together. We have strength in numbers.
If 50 or even 500 of us can consistently come together to help solve problems in our community, we will continue to make a sustainable and measurable impact.
I’m so grateful to every person who helped me launch Impact Club Boise and for every current and future contributing member.
And I’m exceedingly grateful to my team, to the amazing people who have put so much energy and effort into these endeavors. Thank you.
